Process of creation is an endless everyday game of God which makes its way into dreams… and onto white canvas. Painting is the wings for the Soul and it is worth teaching others to experience this flight.
Simona Juskeviciute (born on May 1978 in Kaunas, Lithuania) is a painter of younger generation, a lecturer and a teacher of painting therapy. In her paintings she aims to capture vibrations of the human soul. Sensitive, soft and subtle – her art is very feminine.
She studied painting at Kaunas College and defended her Bachelor’s degree in painting at Šiauliai Pedagogical University. Simona takes part workshops and exhibitions, she also has her private painting studio in Kaunas. Her artistic, impressionistic and full of fantasy style is unique, reflecting unexpected shapes, spaces, compositions, metaphors and colour schemes.
The painter is concerned with philosophical issues such as human sub-consciousness, conscious and unconscious states of mind, dreams and the meaning of human existence. “Falling in love is the most perfect state in the Universe and it is my main focus of interest,” says the painter. Metamorphosis of human soul and symbols of sub-consciousness are also a part of S.Juškevičiūtėʼs artistic quest.
Colour is of great significance to the painter, ranging from minimalistic soft lights to heavily contrasting schemes and tones. In some works the colour and brush strokes are inactive having the effect of poured watercolour.
Simonaʼs paintings are psychological, allowing spectators to freely interpret the symbolic language of the artist.
Some paintings are a part of private collections in Lithuania, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Sweden.
The painterʼs services:
Paintings to order, wall decoration, painting of caricatures, postcards, illustrations, logo making, possibility to hold painting meditations accompanied by Tibetan gong sounds for offices or private persons, decorating clothes or ready-made articles with a long lasting painting.
The artist has many creative ideas how to decorate home, restaurants, offices, even items for ballroom dancing costumes.
Every year I present my pieces of art at auctions and collected money is allocated to a charity for the children who have cancer. I am also concerned about neglected animals, for this reason I foster a horse named Griki. This way my paintings acquire a different meaning…
